Clearwings have been distinctly thin on the ground for me this year, with only single Orange-tailed and Red-tipped putting in an appearance so far, despite deploying a range of lures on a regular basis for the last six weeks or so.
But this morning I found this Sallow Clearwing in the SAL trap, although I don't know exactly when it arrived. I have been away for a couple of days and unfortunately forgot to bring the trap in before I left, so it could have arrived on 11th or 12th, though probably not this morning. Date very similar to last occurrence here which was on 7th and 11th July 2022.
