Coleophora paripennella?

Are these images good enough to identify this as Coleophora paripennella? The apical portion of one antenna is white or whitish (the other antenna appears to be truncated), and the overall appearance is shining metallic brown. The Field Guide considers the species common and widespread, but there appear to be very few records in the region, so maybe it needs further confirmation?
Thanks

  1. Hello Phil,
I'm not sure I would be 100% happy accepting identification of paripennella without genitalia inspection as it seems to me to be very similar to the females of some of the other dark-coloured Coleophora. As you say, it is supposed to be common, but as one who keeps nearly all the Coleophora I see for closer inspection no matter where I trap, I've only had this species the once. That said, it was at Whitfield Wood which is only a stone's throw from you....
