I think I've got a September Thorn, there is some suggestion of a kink, but I suspect it's just an early(ish) September Thorn (I see the earliest was June!).
Hello Mark, I'd go with September Thorn for that one. This isn't early for either species because they both begin flying in June. A good start with this pair is that August Thorn holds its wings almost flat, whereas September holds them up as in your image. The tortrix is a Eucosma species and to me it looks like one of the hohenwartiana group (hohenwartiana, parvulana & fulvana) which need dissection to separate and that is only possible with females.
