While succesfully looking for Frog Orchids at Aston Rowant today, I came across what I believe is a Cistus Forester moth in an area with a lot of Common Rock-rose (Helianthemum nummularium). I see that this moth is a resident species at this site so would I be safe to call it.?
I think so, Rob. As you say, Aston Rowant is one of the few known sites left for it in our area (none in Bucks, unfortunately!).
