Micros in the garden - IDs please

I think one of them is Cauchas rufimitrella - the other I guess will need to just be Pyrausta sp. as it didn't open it's wings further.

  1. Hi Mark, I agree with rufimitrella and Pyrausta sp. if the hindwings weren't checked properly. Even though there's a good chance that is Pyrausta aurata, you are right to be cautious because it can't be safely separated from Pyrausta purpuralis using the forewing markings alone.
