If only it would warm up

I'd expected things to be moving along quite steadily by now but this run of cool nights seems to have delayed proceedings somewhat.  Occasional new species are appearing in the garden but they're arriving nowhere near as quickly as had been hoped for.  The past few nights have seen the arrival of Eudonia angustea (1st), Hofmannophila pseudospretella (4th), Treble Lines (5th), Yellow-barred Brindle (6th) and Cameraria ohridella & Pale Tussock (both 7th).

Treble Lines, Westcott 5th May

Cameraria ohridella, Westcott 7th May

Pale Tussock, Westcott 7th May

The forecast, if it can be believed, shows a long-overdue improvement in temperatures from the middle of next week.
