Garden Stuff

Ran the trap in the garden last night. NFY were Ruby Tiger, Dusky Thorn and Agapeta zoegana. Also my first dark phase Box-tree Moth (the price paid was the decimation of a box shrub in my garden).

Plus a few micros. If anyone can id these for me, it'll save them from a trip to Peter!

  1. Don't send that last one to me, it's not a moth! Isn't the first one Batia lunaris?

  2. The third image looks like Grapholita janthinana to me, surely that's a moth or has a picture been deleted?! The first should indeed be Batia lunaris (assuming the size fits) but a better photo of the middle one would be needed to get an ID (it is something like a Swammerdamia sp).

  4. Thanks! Of course Batia lunaris! Should have got that. The third pic is definitely a moth; G. janthinana looks good to me. The possible Swammerdamia is now deceased...
