Possibly Depressaria daucella? Or less likely D. douglasella? Or something else entirely? Despite looking settled, it suddenly took flight whilst I was photographing it, so unfortunately no specimen for further checking.
Hello Phil, My first thought was Depressaria pimpinellae, which has that two-tone appearance, but unfortunately for that species the colours should actually be the other way around (darker towards the trailing edge of the fore-wing, lighter towards the leading edge). I'm sure it is a Depressaria species but from that image I wouldn't like to commit myself to any of the others without dissection, so let's hope it turns up again!

Thanks Dave, I have my fingers crossed!
