I feel that this looks like Mompha divisella, with the extensive white dorsal area, and a suggestion of a white diagonal at three-quarters, plus a rather attenuated appearance (and only a single scale-tuft, though not sure whether that is significant?). But I imagine it will need dissection to be sure?

ReplyDeleteProbably best to get it checked anyway, but I'd say that was a rather worn Blastodacna hellerella.
Thanks Dave, it doesn't help that the Field Guide image is from above and my photo is from the side! I'll get it checked as you suggest, though I'm pretty sure you are right with B. hellerella.
