Mystery moth

I had this small moth (fw length 10mm) in last night's garden trap, and I just can't put a name to it. Can anyone help me out?

    I'd go for a female Gem if that turned up in my trap?

      Thanks Peter. I have checked various images of Gem on the web, and found some that match my specimen much more closely than the ones in the field guide. Gem is a new addition to my garden list.
