COAM Moths

With Andy King and Rob Payne, we ran some lights at the Chiltern Open Air Museum last night. The sky was pretty much clear and there was quite a cold wind in some parts of the site, but (notwithstanding anything that has gone away for "further work") we managed a list of 62 species, which is 13 more than the same site/same night last year.

New for my year were Ghost Moth, Hedya pruniana (Plum Tortrix), Evergestis forficalis (Garden Pebble), Pyrausta aurata (Mint Moth), Anania hortulata (Small Magpie), Udea olivalis, Riband Wave, Purple Bar, Broken-barred Carpet (new for site), Small Waved Umber, Small Rivulet, White Pinion-spotted, Clouded Silver, Small Elephant Hawk-moth, Buff-tip, Great Prominent (new for site), Buff Ermine, Ingrailed Clay, White Point, Poplar Grey (new for site), Dark Arches, Vine's Rustic, Spectacle and Fan-foot.
