Four-spotted (not footman) in North Bucks

Thanks to Chris Tyler-Smith who has allowed me to post his record.
On 4 August 2019 whilst butterfly recording in N Bucks near Moulsoe he spotted and managed (just) to get a picture of a Four-spotted Tyta luctuosa in
"uninspiring agricultural land albeit with plenty of Field Bindweed nearby"

There are only 19 records in the Bucks database, of which 11 are pre 1960 and only 2 in the last 20 years (both from near Lavendon (North of this site). I presume this is a second generation individual.
It may be worth a visit to potential sites of agricultural land and other places with good amounts of field bindweed, both in the North and South. Sites that come to mind in Bucks are Bradenham (NT) and around Hughenden Valley and also Holtspur area. All three sites have old or very old records. There are other counties available.

Well spotted Chris.
