Pediasia contaminella

Pediasia contaminella was a new moth for my garden last night. The inclined head down resting posture was a good pointer when it turned up on the lid of the trap. Lower numbers for me last night in slightly cooler temperatures.

  1. Hi Adam,

It is great to get more records of this grass moth which I'm sure is under-recorded in Bucks (only circa 15 records). Until this year sightings were almost exclusively from the south of the county but I've now had it in the garden and at the weekend we found it at Olney (can't get much further north in Bucks than that). It must be widespread if thinly spread.
