Agriphila latistria?

This was in the trap yesterday morning. I think that it is Agriphila latistria on the basis that the white streak doesn't spilt into fingers.

  1. Agriphila latistria has a broad white band running the complete length of the wing and your specimen doesn't look right for it to me, David. A better shot showing a clearer view from slightly above would have helped, but I suspect that it is actually tristella.

  2. I thought it might be tristella. That's the best photo I've got.

  3. I've edited yesterday's post about Agriphila selasella to add a picture of latistria because your mention of this uncommon species reminds me that it is certainly worth being on the look-out for it.
