European Corn Borer

A European Corn Borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) in my garden trap last night, otherwise just the usual stuff and still very few Large Underwings  -  where have they gone?

  1. O.nubilalis seems to be having an excellent season in southeast Bucks! Martin Albertini and I trapped in some woodland near Black Park on the 20th and the moth came to all five traps. I had eight males and four females between my three lights.

  2. And I had 75 Large Yellow Underwing in the garden trap last night, so they are coming back.

  3. Huh, I've had a total of just 20 here so far this year.
