Hello Andy, I'd agree with Ypsolopha alpella for the first but I'm afraid I have no idea what the second might be - definitely a candidate for dissection!
Thank you. I'm pleased it is not just me puzzled with the second one. With its size, shape and posture I thought at first it was going to be easy but nothing seemed quite right. It is now safely in the freezer despite having escaped while I was trying to get a better photo. Finally recaptured hiding in the curtains!
