Micro ID help needed

This micro was from a small catch on Monday night. 7mm long.

There was also this rather worn pug just in case anyone can spot any distinguishing features.

  1. The micro is an Ypsolopha. It isn't very well marked, but does look rather reticulated with the hint of two cross bands extending from the dorsum, which would suggest alpella.

  2. I agree with Adam, the choice is between alpella or sylvella (either of which would be a very good garden record) and from that picture it looks closest to alpella. Can't help with the pug, I'm afraid!

  3. Many thanks. I didn't have high hopes for the pug. It is good to get something a bit more unusual.
