A tortrix and worn pugs

Despite the fairly cold night (not as cold as the night before when there was a touch of ground frost!) several new species for the year appeared last night. Most of these were over due but the first Muslin Footmen were pleasing to see. I am struggling with this tortrix and a couple of worn pugs if anyone is able to help.

  1. Hi Andy, have a look at Piniphila bifasciana for your tortrix. Can't help with the pugs, I'm afraid!

  2. Excellent thank you. Having two enormous Scots Pine trees near to where I run the trap it is encouraging to get some pine feeders - no Pine Hawk-moths yet though. I thought the pugs were probably too worn but worth a try just in case.
