Help with ID please!

I'm struggling to keep up with all the wonderful new moths that I've had over the past couple of weeks. I would really appreciate some of your help with some that I'm stuck on. Sorry there are quite a few and they go like this....
Ingrailed Clay?

Coronet?

White Point?

Pale Oak Beauty?

Dark Sword-grass?

Shears?

Grass Rivulet?

Some sort of Carpet???

Large Nutmeg?

Poplar Grey?
Many thanks

  1. Hello Lorna, well done on getting almost all of that lot correct! "Ingrailed Clay" is the standard answer to a lot of queries at this time of year because it is such a variable moth, but you obviously didn't need help with that one. The only picture which needs a correction is your "some sort of Carpet" - it is actually a Tawny-barred Angle.

  2. Wonderful, thanks so much. It's nice to know that many hours of studying books has paid off!
