Few queries from Longick

Just over 50 species last night including the first Elephant Hawk of the year, Esperia Sulpherella and a Small Waved Umber.

I have a few queries attached. Firstly a tortrix which appears mostly dark except for a pale cilia, a few greyish cross-lines and a notable creamy M-mark close to the head. Secondly a Phycita species which is well marked and of the dark / brown variety rather than pink which ought to be easier than it seems and finally a Gracilleria which sadly made a get-away immediately after being photograhed which is mostly brownish with pale marking around the tornus and along the back.

The Clepsis Dumicolana colony is now up and running again with up to 20 flying in sunshine yesterday afternoon.

  1. Hi Andrew, I’m struggling with your images a bit. Any better (brighter) photos available?
