Anania verbascalis

Anania verbascalis (unless I'm very much mistaken), a new species for this site, in the trap last night.





I have verbascum in the garden and several Mullein caterpillars earlier in the year but no adults to the trap.

    Can't see what else it could be, Richard, although would be worth keeping for Peter just to be 101% sure. Another county first, it seems!

      Thanks Dave. I've kept it so will pass it over to Peter to check it out. Nice to get something a bit unusual!
