Colours and stripes

Very pleased to meet Oncocera semirubella (Rosy-striped Knot-horn) for the first time, in my garden moth-trap on Friday evening (Great Kimble, 6 July 2018). What a gorgeous moth!



I guess the reason I've never seen one before is because it is so well camouflaged to look like Battenberg cake 😁

  1. Very nice Martin, I also had it in the garden for the first time a couple of days ago. This warm weather is certainly turning up some nice species.
