Small Ranunculus larvae

Now is a good time to go and look for these on Prickly Lettuce plants. I found about 10 on plants near Twyford, Berks a few days ago.  Most were medium sized, but as usual they were a bit tricky to spot, so look more than once.  They tend to lie along the stems with flowers and seed pods on rather than be on the thicker stems and leaves.
