A Choreutid and a Noctuid

I know that Nettle-tap is around at the moment, but I wondered if this moth below is more likely to be Choreutis pariana (Apple Leaf Skeletonizer). There are both nettles and apple trees in the garden.
Like David Hastings, I also have a noctuid I am not sure about, but it may be too worn for a positive id.

  1. Hi Steve,
For the micro I think you are probably correct with Choreutis pariana even though it is very tired-looking. I always associate the species with autumn but I note that it does have an earlier brood and on checking I see I have had one example in the garden here during June. It would be worth getting it checked, though, because there has been another Choreutis on the scene in SE England since 2014, nemorana which feeds on fig.
I suspect your noctuid is a very poorly-marked and worn Turnip.

    1. Many thanks Dave. I will retain the moths for checking.
