Having run 5 traps at the Hook Norton Railway Cutting in addition to my home trap I have a lot of micros to work through. However there is still one macro that we are struggling with. Perhaps I could also check that this is a Brown Plume?

Hi Andy,
ReplyDeleteFor your noctuid I'd go for a rather darker than usual Clouded Brindle, the black almost 'C' shaped line in the centre of the right forewing (mirrored on the other wing, obviously) being the give-away for me. I think you are safe with pterodactyla for the plume.
Thanks. I am sure there will be some micro questions to follow. Lunar Hornet has just arrived to LUN.
