Shark and Scarlet TIger


Nice to find these in the trap this morning. Shark is unusual here and this one was very large. And a particularly dark Scarlet Tiger? Or is it normal to have this lack of marginal pale spots and extensive black markings on the hind wings? Best wishes, David

    Hi David,
    That is a known extreme variation of Scarlet Tiger. It is quite rare and is certainly not one that I've ever seen - quite stunning, isn't it?! A lucky find in your trap.
