I've looked at several texts and photos and still can't work this one out, can someone please help? The other is, I'm pretty certain is Elachista argentella.
As a side note the day before yesterday I put out LUN, TIP and FOR lures within a few feet of each other. LUN & FUN had nothing but TIP had both Currant Clearwing and Red-tipped Clearwing.

Hi Mark: the 'dreaded Scoparids' as some would have it, but although not a perfect specimen I would classify yours as Eudonia lacustrata. The pale central region, dark streaks outside the first (ante-median) line (i.e. separate from it), the central black 'X' with pale areas either side (they don't always stand out as much), and the sub-terminal white lines (rather blobs here) separated by a black bar (only readily visible on the left wing). Some of these features are shared with the less common E. truncicolella, but that is larger, the ante- and post-median lines are very dentate (zig-zag), and the sub-terminal lines form a large white 'X'.
