Bright sight

My first of the year, on this brilliantly sunny day. It was on the pavement in Wolvercote so I moved it with a lavender stalk to relative safety behind a wheelie-bin.  I've been a lethargic trapper this year but have a reasonable tally including my first hawk, a Poplar as always, on my birthday, 18th May - very late by past standards. The two below came three nights later. I hope to get the lamp out more often now, the demands of grandchildren permitting.  Martin Wainwright, Thrupp, Oxon
