Worminghall Update and Queries

The moth year list is on 240 (unverified) with 131 new species so far in June. Here's a couple of highlights from this year and a few recent queries. Any help much appreciated.

Puss moth (above) and Mocha (below) were new for the garden earlier in the Spring

Dark Brocade?
Red-belted Clearwings after an hour to myo
Small Clouded Brindle?
Can't work this one out
My best guess would be Tinted Tubic, Crassa tinctella
Best guess is Common Spruce Bell, Epinotia tedella

  1. Hello Peter,
Of your queries the first is Clouded Brindle (not Dark Brocade), the second and third are a rather too worn to be sure from those images but might be Small Clouded Brindle and Pale Mottled Willow, while the two micros are correct as Crass tinctella and Epinotia tedella.
