Maple Prominent caught last night, appears to be the first for this NW Bucks hectad, so perhaps evidence that it is spreading, as suggested in the atlas?
I have not been able to put a name to this micro from a couple of nights ago...Elachista canapennella perhaps?
Hello Phil, The micro has the looks of a Prays to me (should be quite a bit larger than E.canapennella) and you can make out a hint of fraxinella's dark triangular marking mid-wing so I'd suggest this is the dark form of that species rather than Prays ruficeps.
