Apotomis sororculana/turbidana?

Is there any way to tell which of the above this is? Any help appreciated and also this other little crittur. Thank you.

  1. Your little critter is a Harmonia axyridis (Harlequin ladybird) larva.

  3. I agree with Marc on the tortrix. Not a species I see regularly at all, despite it supposedly being common.

Harlequin larvae are everywhere in my garden at the moment. Sadly it looks like being a very good year for them.

  4. Many thanks everyone, Those tortrix are remarkably similar and obviously a seasoned eye is so important, Those little things that you find in your trap are also interesting in expanding your knowledge making me realise how little I know.
