Things are going well here in Thrupp, when rain permits. The hawk moths are abundant as ever and it was nice to have a Reddish Light Arches two days ago, an infrequent but annual caller. Martin Wainwright, Thrupp
What a nice collection of hawk-moths, Martin! I rarely get that much variety in a single trap in the garden here and have never had more than one Privet Hawk at a time.
Hi Dave and thanks as ever for everything you do for the blog. Sorry not to have been posting more but things are ticking over nicely but not unusually here. Hawk moths are certainly abundant which great for me as a sucker for the big and beautiful. I'm just about to post a pic of a lovely pair of Small Elephants which came last night. Just the Pine and Hummingbird to come, I hope, though I keep optimisticall putting the light near my spuds in the hope of a Death's Head Hawk. All warmest. M
