A nice visitor to a friend in Tackley who was out late in the garden having a Midsummer drink and reported that many moths were about. The Cream-spot Tiger was the biggest and obligingly settled on the house wall. Martin Wainwright, Thrupp, Oxon
Nice one, Martin. I suspect that'll be a very good record indeed for Oxfordshire (it certainly would be for Bucks!). I presume you know the recorder and can obtain a grid reference for your CMR?
Thanks very much Dave - I'll get my friend to do that direct, in the hope that they will be siezed by moth enthusiasm. They were struck by how many were about that evening. All warmest as ever M
Thanks Martin - I wouldn't want such an important record to get lost! Cream-spot Tiger is mainly a south coast species and not one we should get locally at all.
