Whoops

Alas, my last post had a fatal flaw. I was assuming that my Tackley friend was in Tackley. But no - he and the Cream-spot Tiger were in Italy where he and his family are holidaying. Many apols, but hope I can amend a bit with this streaky White Ermine which came today and is the first I've seen. I've had a Buff Ermine with a pronounced black 'moustache' but this one looks too white to be that.  Or am I wrong (again)? Martin Wainwright. Thrupp, Oxon

  1. That explains a lot - it did seem to be rather out-of-place around here!

  2. ha, I did a similar thing - but on my own photos. I was going through them and found an odd insect which I thought had been photographed on the kitchen wall. I posted it on facebook and it turned out to be a praying mantis (non standard one). I told my wife and she told me that day I was in the US. Weirdly I'd taken only a few pictures of this insect for the whole of the trip - so the pics before and after were here in the UK. Mucho embarressment. Nice Ermine!
