A Blog for moth recorders in Bucks, Berks and Oxon
Hi there,
I'm going to stick my neck out and claim that both of these are B. adustella. I'm fairly sure about the paler one - not sure about the other.
Help, please!
David
Hi David,Both are indeed adustella which varies quite a lot in the intensity of its markings although the basic pattern remains the same. In a lot of places it is the most common moth at the moment.
Many thanks - doing my best to get to grips with so many new species for me.
