Hello Barnaby,I wouldn't like to say for sure just from that photo, but I think Nigel may well be correct with Scythropia crataegella.
Hi Dave, not the best angle for the identifying as you know, but one of Andy King's photos on the moth dissection site, which is from overhead, looks a good match.
