I thought last night I'd managed to bat a flying Chamomile Shark into the trap as it turns up every few years..however it seems it was a Mullein. Last year I found some caterpillars on our verbascum plants, so this is the first time I've seen the adult.

Mullein isn't an annual in the garden here but turns up every couple of years (and I've had the larvae on our buddleia), whereas I've only ever seen Chamomile Shark the once and that was in the far south of Bucks. If you think you've got another, please bat it north-eastwards!
