Fourth year in a row

Star item in last night's garden trap was a rather battered female Fox Moth, co-incidentally arriving on exactly the same date as did the female I had in 2019.  The previous two examples (both males) also appeared in the same week of May so at least that's one moth seemingly keeping to its normal flight period!

  1. Coincidentally I had an equally battered female Fox moth 5 niģhts ago. At least I assumed so since she laid two batches of eggs on my egg trays!
