Obviously the numbers and variety are creeping up nicely. The moth in the photograph has me a little confused - partly to do with the fact it has suffered somewhat in the wind and looks a bit threadbare.
It has a bit of a look shape wise of Light Feathered Rustic but I would appreciate other thoughts. I initially assumed it was a Shuttle Shaped Dart which is still more likely. It may be too far gone to know!
Hi Andrew,
ReplyDeleteIt seems to have had a bath but that smudge of a kidney mark certainly makes me believe that a male Light Feathered Rustic is a possibility. I would recommend hanging on to it if you've still got it so that Peter Hall can check for sure. You are only about 4km away from the colony at Grangelands so a wanderer from there is eminently possible and would make a very good garden record!
