This Acrobasis tumidana from my garden MV in Oxford last night. It looks a lot like A. repandana at first glance
. However, the characterstic ridge of raised scales on the forewing distal to the first cross-line isn't too hard to see (the fact that they are raised is best seen from the side-on view). The raised scales at the base less so and some have probably been lost. Nevertheless I double-checked under the binocular microscope in order to be certain.
New for VC23 (and new for its CMR!).
Nice - it doesn't seem to have troubled the scorers in Bucks yet but we live in hope!
