Quick query from Longwick

Have been away for a short while so it was the first chance to put the trap out for a while. Not too much excitement but quite a good number of moths. I also had a pristine Elephant Hawk Moth yesterday evening.

Attached are a couple of photos of a somewhat battered but interesting moth from last night. Although perhaps too worn to identify it struck me as possibly a Processionary - possibly Oak?

  1. Hi Andrew,

I don't think that's a Processionary but could well be a rather worn Nut-tree Tussock.

  2. Thanks both. Thought it worth checking.
