Small Micro ID

Two micros from last night. The first is, I think, Cochylis dubitana?


The next two photos are the same moth, but I'm struggling with the identity of this individual. Quite worn, so maybe not doable ...



Both from Witney woodland last night.

  1. Hello Nic,

    I think you are probably correct with dubitana. What concerns me are the seemingly yellowish palps (the head and palps on dubitana should be white) but maybe they're just 'dirty'. The other one looks like a Cnephasia and would need dissection to get to species.
