Another interesting Muslin Moth

There have been quite a number of interesting posts (thanks Martin) about colours of Muslin Moths. Today's arrival in my trap in Longwick was both pale and had anomalous spotting. It made quite  a sight

and made up for the lack of moths and variety with only Aethes smeathmanniana a new arrival.

Also attached is a photo of what I assume is also Cauchas rufimitrella which I found in the back garden yesterday (FW 6mm).

  1. Hi Andrew,
I imagine that you will be correct with the long-horn at that wing length, although there's a slight possibility that it could have been a female Adela reaumurella which is very slightly larger.
