Hook Norton reserve moths

Last Friday we ran a couple of portable traps at the Hook Norton Railway Cutting BBOWT reserve.

A few of the more interesting moths included a female Gold Swift, Dichrorampha alpinana (to be dissected), Agonopterix liturosa and possibly Acrobasis suavella ??.

  1. Hi Andy,

Nice to get Gold Swift, a moth not seen all that often. That must a very long-lived lady too as they're usually over by now! Your Acrobasis has a red head so must be advenella.

  2. Thank you. I do struggle with the Acrobasis like moths.
