I am getting rather overwhelmed with micros at present especially Tortricidae. To help catch up help with any of the following would be most appreciated.
1. Possibly Celypha cespitana? 9mm Caught 3/7
2. Possibly Ancylis achatana? 10mm
3. Unknown 6mm
4. Unknown 10mm
5. Unknown 7mm
6. Possible Pammene fasciana 10mm
7. Probably not a moth! Tiny only 4mm long.

Hi Andy,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is great to see that the micros have come to life this year at last, isn't it?! Your first is Celypha cespitana/rivulana but I have difficulty telling those two apart from photos - that's one for Peter. Then you have a rather worn Ancylis achatana, Grapholita janthinana/lobarzewskii (size could be either), Ptycholomoides aeriferana, Grapholita lobarzewskii (I think, size fits), Pammene fasciana and a micro-caddis.
Thank you that is really helpful. It is great to get a good mixture of micros but they do seem to come all at once!
