Satin Beauty

I think this moth, caught here last night, is a dark form of Satin Beauty, based mainly on its size, shape and pectinate antennae.  Can't see what else it could be, however not a moth I've seen here before so I would appreciate comments etc.

Thanks

  1. Hi Richard,
That's a fairly typical Satin Beauty male for around here, they're often very dark like that and the resting posture is also a give-away. Nice garden record!
