Hello Phil, Not sure about your Spectacle and it would be worth getting it checked if you still have the specimen. To me it looks rather more like a dark form of Spectacle but I could be wrong as the moth is in such poor condition. Dark Spectacle used to be rare around here but it is turning up more and more regularly now. The other moth is, as you say, a tired Poplar Grey.
