Metalampra italica

I tapped this distinctive micro from hazel in Pinsley Wood, West Oxon this evening. The most likely species seems to be Metalampra italica. I assume it's a little more common in the region than the literature suggests, if I've correctly identified it... Comments welcomed.

  1. Hi Nic,
Correctly identified and you assume correctly too - it is quite widespread now. A lovely little moth!

  2. Thanks Dave. When you say it is quite widespread now, I wonder where you go to find current status for micros? All the various websites I've tried seem to be very out of date.
