A couple of trusty 125wt MV traps placed in Finemere Wood for the usual three hours last night brought in just over 100 species, the best result I've had anywhere so far this year. For the most part there was nothing unexpected but one or two things may prove to have been new for the site list, including micros Elachista albidella, Phalonidia manniana & Lobesia reliquana. It was also good to see a couple of Nepticulids and Glyphipterix forsterella (at least twice the size of the ubiquitous simpliciella), while amongst the macros were Small Seraphim, Brindled White-spot, Ingrailed Clay, Miller, Marbled White Spot & Small Dotted Buff which I hadn't seen anywhere else yet this year.
