Two queries

 Hi again,

Two queries from 14th June in a garden close to mixed woodland near Chesham.

The first I've got down as one of the Clays - perhaps Purple from the wing shape?

The second I have no idea about - but it seems to have a distinctive darker cross bar.

    Hi David
    You were at least on the correct page with the first one, which is the seemingly infinitely variable Ingrailed Clay (note that there are nine different images of it in the Field Guide!). The second moth is a faded Rustic Shoulder-knot.
